A Typical Day

Glorious Dawn

You are woken up to the beat of African drums. After coffee/tea and a light breakfast, head out into the bush as the sun rises for a game activity (drive, walk, canoe or boat safari).

Game Drive

Led by an experienced and knowledgeable guide, you will be out in the bush for several hours in search of wildlife and learning about the behavior of animals and the environment around you. During the course of the morning activity, there will be a break for tea, coffee and biscuits by a lake, waterhole or vista to allow everyone to stretch their legs.

Siesta

As wildlife activity slows down and the day heats up, you return to camp for a large brunch. Most people opt to spend this time resting as wildlife activity is limited. This is a great time to read, write letters and update your safari journal, upload and view photos, take a nap, go for a dip in the camp pool or take a cooler of drinks and view wildlife from a nearby hide. You can also choose to go on relaxed bush walks around the camp with an armed ranger during this siesta period.

High Tea

Re-energized after several hours of rest and relaxation, high tea is served to prepare you for the your chosen afternoon activity.

Back to the Bush

You venture back into the bush with your guide and spend the rest of the afternoon exploring the area further, and continuing to tick off your mammal and bird lists.

Sundowners

As the sun begins to set, you stop at a stunning vantage point for cocktails in the bush and to enjoy an always incredible African sunset.

Night Drive

After the sun sets, you continue with a night game drive which allows you to see the nocturnal animals which are usually hiding during the day. This is also a great time to track big cats and other predators as they become more active.

Campfire Stories

You return to camp for a refreshing shower before enjoying drinks at the bar. This is followed by a hearty dinner and then after-dinner drinks around the fire as you swap stories about your amazing day with your guide and fellow guests.
